Our primary concern is your health. Getting medical treatment as soon as possible after an accident is best for your health and your legal case. Even if you felt okay immediately after the accident, symptoms can develop hours or even days later. Adrenaline can mask pain, and some injuries don't present right away. In Florida, there is an important timeline to keep in mind. You have 14 days from the date of the accident to seek initial medical treatment to preserve certain insurance benefits. If you haven't already been evaluated, that step should happen as soon as possible after the first visit to a medical provider. You will be given a treatment plan. It's very important to stick to that plan for your health and for your case. That treatment plan may involve physical therapy, chiropractic treatment, or other types of treatment, depending on your injuries and the doctor's recommendations. Consistent treatment is important for your case because your attorney will use the medical notes as evidence. Insurance companies look closely at treatment patterns. They review how quickly care began, whether there were gaps in your treatment, and how symptoms progressed over time. When you show up to your appointments consistently and you communicate clearly with your providers, your medical records will reflect the reality of your condition. Be honest with your doctors about what you're experiencing. Improvements. Setbacks. Limitations. Discomfort. Your case should be built on accuracy, not exaggeration and not minimization. We monitor your treatment progress, request updated records, and ensure your legal file mirrors your medical journey. In the next video, we'll explain how diagnostic imaging and specialist evaluations provide deeper insight into your injuries and their long term impact.
